| I have the greatest job in the world! As a "Groom Engineer" I
get to change lives and truly make a Groomer's day much easy and safer
for for the remainder of their lives! Redesigning the standard
grooming into the now famous and much duplicate "LIPSystem" all the way
through to our radically redesigned, state of the art Hanvey Hybrid
Grooming Vans or Hanvey HGV has been the thrill of a lifetime. But
wait, more is coming! Even with $4 plus fuel costs, Hanvey Sprinter
grooming vans and other Sprinter based business vans, the steady growth of
the our operation has been something of a dream come true. It's
kinda funny when you think about it. My dreams come true helping other
make their dreams come true. A true win/win situation. Thank You!! Am I a "Real" Engineer? Yes, I am a real Engineer with a very real engineering background. I have been involved in redesigning human-machine interfacing processes, OSHA and real Ergonomics training. I have basically shifted my entire skill base to the field of Grooming and now disgnate myself a a Groom Engineer and Mobile Operations Engineer. Sometimes I hesitate to mention my professional/technical background because I have never been much of a "Title" person. This can be seen in my lack of cryptic letters after my name. I never really liked the look of CRE, SPE, MSE, ERE, etc listed after my name. Curtis Hanvey Jr. BS CRE MSE GE. No thanks. But after I started acknowledging my engineering background a funny thing started happening. Key competitors suddenly had an "Engineer" on staff and an "Engineering Dept." Technically, it is illegal to describe yourself as an Engineer or state that you have an "Engineering dept." unless you have the credentials or the Engineers to support the claim. Hearing them say "our Engineer" strikes me odd because I never really thought my competition had serious credibility problems. Well, to each his own. Who is Curtis Hanvey? I say, "who cares." But for some reason my clients seem to be those who actually read my bio. I guess buying products and services from someone with a face rather than a faceless corporation is something groomers like to do. Yes, due to our fast and sizable growth I now have a rather large staff running Hanvey but I'm still making myself available to personally help you if needed. Yes, I realize my staff and I can not make absolutely everyone happy all the time but the Hanvey staff and I will work very hard and smart toward making every client happy with our service and products. Unfortunately some of our competition made the mistake of sticking with a low fuel economy van chassis for a bit too long. They also failed to realize how hard it is to sell Ford based vans that get under 10 MPG when you have a Sprinter van sitting beside it. For this reason some of our competition currently believes the market has slowed down. It certainly is not a fall "rush" but a market slow down it is not. This type of situation has lead some to start fear marketing by digging deep to find some little known warranty item and attempting to make the concern sound like a history of product failures when in fact no failures have ever been manifested. You will start seeing things that are designed to pull you into a phone call and push you to act faster in an effort to get production levels up where they need to be. Anytime you see something like a gas rebate or something like an offer of $1500 in fuel with a purchase in conjunction with a program that only lasts a few weeks, this is a sign of desperation due to a drop in their market share. So take what the competition says with a huge grain of salt and then call and ask me for the facts. I will give the facts to you in writing because I will legally back any claim Hanvey makes. If you are ever in doubt about what a competitor says about Hanvey, ask for their claim in writing and then go to a quality groomer "hang-out" web site like Groomers.net and Petgroomer.com . Hey, you do not have to take our word alone. Visit these groomer bulletin boards and find out what real groomers (from around the world) think about our premium quality products and customer service. You can read messages that have accumulated over the past 12 years. It's real history and not just something a competitor wants to say in order to sell you something. Helping you search and shop. Internet search engines will help you find anything available on mobile grooming and dog grooming equipment. To find good information you need to use common "keywords" that are used in the industry. Since some of you are new to the industry and may not know the best "keywords" to use with your internet search for mobile grooming vans or grooming equipment for your shop, here are some key words that are used by related grooming competitive websites that should help you search, shop around and compare purchase options. After nearly 12 years of internet participation I have found google.com to be the best search engine for finding what I am searching for. MSN tends to give the worst results in regards to keying in on what I am really searching for. AOL search does a good job too. When you get there, copy and paste some of the following keywords into the search block.
