We will always service our clients in the fastest way possible but the statement “Lack of planning on your part….” does have a ring of validity that you must be aware of. Running any kind of business requires appropriate planning and investment outlay. Your new mobile business has several areas of planning concern that you must address or one day you will find yourself on the phone in a panic because you failed to plan for a normal maintenance item that shuts you down and the best we can do is get the part to you second day! oooops! Keep in mind that if you have a spare part, you just drive home, swap the part and go back to work. You have months of time to send in you worn unit for repair. Now that’s low pressure. If you do not have a spare part for a normal maintenance item you can expect to be out of service for several days and should plan accordingly. If you knowingly accept the idea of not having spare parts, don’t get stressed out when these normal shutdown occurs. You have accepted the downtime as planned. Also keep in mind that there are limitations on how fast parts can be obtained and sent to you for unplanned for events. Often, overnight shipping costs are near the price of the replacement part so it is wise to purchase in advance and save that huge expense . Please note. If you decide to not keep the recommended spare parts on hand, you should also plan for the stress this lack of planning will place on you . When you call please remain calm and KNOW that we will help you in the best way possible. But fully understand that we are limited on our ability to perform “magic”. You must plan ahead for normal maintenance items. You must also accept that you are going to have longer downtime which means rescheduling clients. Accept this or plan ahead and have spare parts ready to install. Keep these normal maintenance items and spare part in mind as you plan: Hi “V” Dryer—1.5 to 3 years is the normal expected life for the motor brushes. The Hi “V” Gold is best handled by having a spare dryer unit. Turbo Booster—The turbo booster is supplemental for most groomers. So if you can work using the “gold” only, you can buy Turbo Boosters as they fail. Inverter—The failure rate is so low for this type of inverter that a standing spare may not be required for you but if you want to play it safe… Water Pump—This item is critical. A spare should be on hand at all times. Since Hanvey grooming vans are designed so the client can change most parts with ease, having spare parts mean that within an hour you can be back in service rather than days waiting on a part to ship. Recommended Standing Spare Parts: 1– Hi”V” Gold, 1-Drain water pump, 1– main drain filter assembly, Maybe 1– Turbo Booster, Maybe 1-inverter. |
